Cookie Time

It is cookie season again! Today is the start of selling cookies. The girls have set their goals...each girl wants to sell 200 boxes. If they each sale 175 boxes then they get to go to Build-a-bear and spend $40 on a bear and outfit. So, that is motivation for them to do well (BAB would be with their girl scout troop).

The girls went into their Dad's office and G'ma Connie's office today....I think together they sold 60 boxes of cookies.

Our LITTLE kids

Our little Dutch Girl

They grow up?

Who's That?

Here's a pic I found:

Samantha and her braces!

On the 10th Samantha got her braces removed. Now, she has retainers again. Her top retainer is purple with a kitty cat on it.

Samantha got her braces last Valentine's Day. So, she had to wear them for almost a year. We totally forgot what her teeth looked like...we were so surprised at how big and beautiful they look. We all stare at her pretty teeth now.

Snow Fun

The kids had a great time playing outside in the snow. They spent all day outside besides the short time we ran to do errands.

Got Snow

We woke up to a winter wonderland. I love fresh snow but it is rare around these parts. So, we were so excited to see everything covered in snow. When it snows here the town shuts down because they don't have the stuff to keep the roads clear. Here is an image from 7:30 a.m.

The kids are getting "snow" clothes on so they can go outside to play. They want me to walk them over to the school so they can go sledding (the hill is so small). Looks like they are ready to go. So, I better head out the door. I'll post more pictures later.

Taking the Girl Scouts to a Mongolian Grill

Tonight both troops went to a Mongolian Grill for dinner. We were missing a few girls but we ended up with 14 girls. Plus a few parents stayed to eat dinner also. Next month is World Thinking Day and that is where the scouts learn about a different country. There are Girl Scouts aka Girl Guides all over the world. Mongolia has had Girl Guides since 2005. The girls had fun watching their food get cooked. The one chief would make a huge flame when he would toss their food into a bowl. I tried to get a picture of him doing that but he was teasing me and wouldn't do it for the camera. Below are some "fun" shots of our adventure.

Someone lost a tooth

Maddie lost her tooth. The tooth fairy hid her money under the clothes she had laid out for church. So, Maddie had to search for it. She was excited to find it.

The Shoe Fairy

In Sweden children put their shoes out and the next day it is filled with all kinds of goodies to "ring" in the New Year. We told the kids we would do that with them this year and they got all excited because the Shoe Fairy was going to visit them. I told Andrew that really the Shoe Fairy is us and he told me, "hey if I want to believe it is the Shoe Fairy bringing me all this stuff then let me believe." hee hee!
